John Tumminello holds a AA in Humanities & The Arts and BS in Management from New York University, and an MBA with a concentration on Management & Marketing from Columbia University


CURRENT EMPLOYMENT EXPERIENCE


THE CONSERVANCY FOR THE PARTHENON AND CENTENNIAL PARK

John has six years of experience as current executive director of Musicians Corner, managing the strategic activities for this nonprofit music program that continues to achieve significant growth and accolades. John's responsibilities include directing all aspects of this program, including:

  • Funding, planning, curating, hosting, and implementing 16 free music events a year
  • Creating sponsorship proposals and managing sponsor relationships
  • Developing marketing plans and marketing elements
  • Growing the event footprint, scope, and audience
  • Diversifying revenue; planning fundraising events
  • Leading a team employees
  • Managing social media and websites
  • Developing and growing the Kidsville program
  • Providing strategic direction for the building of a permanent music venue in Centennial Park


MUSIC CITY UNSIGNED

John has eight years of experience as co-founder of a grassroots emerging artist community. His responsibilities include:

  • Supporting and promoting artists; providing artist development advice and guidance
  • Managing film and television licensing division with Razor & Tie Music Publishing
  • Planning artist showcases; curating compilation albums


BLUE PLAID MUSIC, MANAGEMENT & MARKETING

John partners with Rock Ridge Music to co-manage the career of recording artist Matt Brown. John served as Executive Producer for Matt's "Walk Into The Light" album. John also co-manages digital marketing for the online music series Skyville Live.
